Who doesn’t want to start 2020—a New DECADE—with no Baggage?

I propose that you start off with 5 easy questions to begin your purge:

1. What no longer serves my life?

2. Who no longer serves my life?

3. What makes me a healthier human physically?

4. What make me healthier mentally?

5. Am I willing and ready to get rid of the old to make room for the new?

Your mind is the Adult in this scenario. Your body is only the participant, or more likely, the child. If you let a child take over your household, you’re likely to have a very unruly house at best. At worst, you will have no house, because you’ll have a fire or a bad accident.

If you answer these questions honestly, you’ll recognize what habit or people you need to get rid of and what you want to newly create in your life.

Let’s say that you hate the fact that every night, after spending the entire day working hard, eating right, and even exercising—that you come home and begin binging. You eat cookies or bread while you’re cooking a healthy dinner. After dinner, when you turn on the television, you immediately get a bowl of cereal, because you need something sweet. After about another hour of watching television, you want something salty. So, you pop some popcorn. You go to sleep stuffed every night and bloated.

In the 5 questions above, you notice that you don’t want the extra weight. You want a healthier you. You even see that there is time to make this happen. In fact, there is too much time—at night. This is why you start eating. During the day you have work and you’re busy. So, you don’t think about binging on food. However, you can’t resist binging when you get home.

How do you help this problem with all the 5 questions answered?

The issue here is that you’re not being honest with yourself. This isn’t a physical habit. This is MENTAL HABIT, one that needs to dealt with in the subconscious, understanding what triggers you to do such behavior.

To uncover the issues around this you must take a good hard look at circumstances you may not be accustomed at looking at:

  • loneliness,
  • boredom,
  • relationship, and
  • self-image

affect weight loss (or any habit, actually) more than any other aspect of your life. It’s not the carbs. It’s the lack of trust in your own self to demand of yourself the correct behavior.

When you let your inner child do your bidding and be your decision maker, you may get a better picture about why you have generally been unsuccessful doing this on your own.

Find a great person to help you discover that star power inside that knows better, makes healthy choices, and makes those choices all day—all 2020!
