Play for Pay
LIttle ole sixty-year-old naive me didn’t know what Play for Pay meant until yesterday, when Dave was telling me about two elderly gentlemen being escorted by a buff young man in the mall. Of course, this was an assumption, but the point is not knowing exactly what the term meant.
Play for Pay
But the truth is, isn’t most of life play for pay? How many times a day do we wager our lives, our careers, our love, and most importantly our happiness and peace on our actions? Do we seriously feel that when we do the action or think the thought that the fella on our left shoulder whispered in our ear that we will not have to pay for our action.
Play for pay is kind of like you reap what you sow. If you eat a 1/2 gallon of ice cream, expect weight gain. If you diddle on the side of your committed relationship, expect that one day your partner will find out and your guilt will never subside. If you smoke cigarettes for 10 years, two packs a day, do you seriously think that you’re going to be the only lucky one that goes onward unscathed?
My Experience with Play for Pay
Seriously, my friends, life is all about making wagers with our money, our energy, and with our lives. If you don’t know that by now, you haven’t learned anything about the war going on between your most basic ego needs and your spiritual center.
I remember a time when I was living in NYC. I had a buddy, an old boyfriend, who was free to live a lifestyle, at that time, I thought would get him a free pass to hell. Of course, now, I don’t look at life like this. I don’t see our actions necessarily affecting our life eternal, as much as it is affecting the part of us that understands our own power on Earth.
For example: a young man is very interested in finding the person of his dreams; settling down, and then getting married—a house, children, living the dream follows. However, this same man is living a life with this motto: I want a monogamous relationship, but I’m going to have fun until I find that person.
When people talk to me with that story, my answer is fairly curt and to the point. If you think that the universe is going to send you a lovely, monogamous partner, you are seriously wrong. You are putting energy out into the universe that suggests exactly the opposite. If you want good, simply be good. If you want a monogamous, spiritual partner, be that person until he or she arrives in your life.
We are only gifted 100% energy each day. If we expend our energy on what’s important and then wager the rest of our energy on junk for our soul, the soul becomes sick and damaged.
I see this kind of wagering and living life every day, unfortunately, as I help people who come to me with life stories that seem terrible at first—like something that is impossible to get out of. I’m compassionate while listening to their experience and the forthcoming emotion. Then, as I begin to ask questions to fill in the gaps of their stories, I find that life has usually (not all the time) given the person exactly what they had been believing or wagering.
One thing I can say about the universe and its laws, they are succinct. They tell it like it is. If you’re not plugged into Source, your light won’t work. If you’re not asking to be delivered from temptation, temptation will follow you all the days of your life. If you don’t pray that the Kingdom come with in you and on Earth, you’ll see only disaster daily.
You see, no matter what happens around me, I see through a filter that I have created. Some may say I see through rose-colored glasses. But I prefer to think that I am looking through the lens of omniscience. I’m seeing from the outside, without judgment. I learned this technique in hypnosis. You get to the place where your body is asleep (somnambulant) and then you feel as if you come out of the confines of your ego body. When in that state, you see the world anew, you release judgment of yourself and others, and changebegins to happen immediately.
As a result, I have been doing this work for years. I can go from fully awake to somnambulant in a few minutes, which can either lead to great revelation and meditation or sleep, whichever you intend. This, my friends, is a practice. I’ve been at it for your years, trying to perfect my own sense of peace. Yes, you heard me. I have been seeking peace since I was a little kid listening to my parents fighting so loud that I’d put a pillow over my head. I’m now 60 and living my life as if I finally understand my purpose on Earth.
That’s the goal, right? To do what you intend to do every day, and when you have no intention to follow the direction of the wind or holy spirit. Every day I’m led to more love, more prosperity, and more peace.
The purpose of this blog is to realize that the stories in the brain are impulses from Spirit to help us heal, if we are willing to take the time to understand our own pain. Most of us want to avoid it. But, if you are tired of reliving your stories over and over again, try learning to become the observer of your mind. Restore and Renew Your Mind. Change the Conspiracy in Your Own Mind.
GIVE IT A TRY.

Try this yoga practice below on YouTube I made just for this purpose or give me a call for a 10 minute consultation. I’d love to work through your stress at this time with you.
The process is so simple, it doesn’t make sense that it could result in such a vast change in mind. You could do some seated yoga. I actually made 3 different yoga videos on YouTube you could go to now and enjoy how great you’ll feel if you spend just a little time getting your body free of stress. But, I can’t do it for you. This article about it can make you do it. You must be a self-started at home, as well as work. Set your mind to a clear schedule of things to do. This would be a brilliant time to learn a new language or clean out the closets.
DON’T FORGET ABOUT PEACE OF MIND
We give away our peace of mind every time we react emotionally to inevitable change. Peace is yours to keep, not give away. So, if you are not experiencing peace, it’s up to you to share why you are anxious with yourself by carrying on a self dialogue. Yes, that’s right. Question yourself. Work it out together with all the parts of your mind (the good, bad, and the ugly). These are the times when we will be closest to our loved ones and also have a great deal of alone time. Use it to your spiritual and physical advantage.
Some friendly reminders about Peace:
- You are made in the image and by the grace of Peace.
- Peace doesn’t comprehend pandemonium.
- Peace of mind is gentle.
- Peace does not judge you or others.
- Peace promotes calm and love.

Narcissistic abuse is a form of emotional and psychological abuse. It is primarily inflicted by individuals who have either narcissistic personality disorder (NPD, which is characterized by a lack of empathy), or antisocial personality disorder (ASPD, also known as sociopaths or psychopaths), and is associated with the absence of a conscience. The Physiology of Hypnotherapy:
By going into a subconscious, light sleep or trance, a hypnotists helps find the pathways connecting your outside stimulus to your negative thoughts (food, smoking, anxiety). The work begins in the frontal cortex of your brain!
Disconnect the root cause (stress, relationship problems, no quality ME time) at the foot of the pathway (the place where our response to triggers happens) and build a healthy, new pathway to positive outcomes in your life—a new story for tomorrow.
