Checking in with God
How many times a day do you think about your spiritual life or check in with God? Do you ask for help… for guidance, or for personal prosperity?
Checking in with God
Checking in with your spiritual, higher power can be as simple as reciting a prayer; saying thanks for that which you have; being grateful for the seeds you have sown; and holding on to the faith that it takes to water and care for your dreams?
Checking in with God should be a daily practice—not out of duty, but out of a deeply routed concern about your own personal welfare. When you’re not consciously on the path of love, you are probably not on a path to anything worthwhile. Spiritual growth is the key to happiness and contentment. It gives you a sense of why you’re on this Earth and what kind of purpose you have here. In other words, when you feel in sync with God, you have a sense of peace that is beyond understanding.
My Experience with Checking in with God
Every morning right before sun up, my dreams seems to draw to a conclusion. As a result, I wake up and generally move to my recliner and pray or meditate. I realize that my dream ending has become a sign that my sleep time is over and that too much sleep will lead me to a place in my subconscious that will make me very uncomfortable my dream will bring about temptation or fear (because I have become aware of the dream and my ego invites its own thoughts and unconscious desires). Instead of mulling over the extraneous thoughts from the dream, I move directly into asking for guidance from Source.
Sleep for most people is often a place of letting go. I don’t know any people who can create perfect dreams every night. So, when I awaken, I make sure I get conscious quickly and gain control over my ego brain. I used to dread waking up. Now, I love the quiet of the morning and the amanecer, or the Spanish word for the earliest morning.
This quiet space is the perfect time to gain control over the coming day and battles you are likely to face. My theory is this: You can believe in a higher power, but unless you are plugged into that power source, you will not function correctly or with efficiency. This can be similar to a lamp that must be plugged in and turned on to provide light.
So, how do you check in and then plug in to your spiritual higher power?
The act of conscious connection is so important. Personally, I’m a Christian. I simply ask that God send me the comforter or Holy Spirit in Jesus’s name. This action and even the words I gleaned from reading the New Testament. Often, right after, I pray as Jesus taught us with the “Lord’s Prayer.” Formal or informal prayer doesn’t matter. The fact that you initiate contact is what’s important.
I get quiet. I usually don’t have any agenda at that time of the morning. Sometimes, I’m hardly awake. But, still, I want to make an effort to be aware and to be still, in case, I need some fine tuning or I need a “spiritual download.” (This is my own terminology based on our current computer language.)
Sometimes I experience bliss. Sometimes, utter silence. Sometimes a message. Most days, though, especially when I first began this journey, my quiet time was just about recharging my soul with Love and compassion. Anyway you look at it, checking in and plugging in to God is a necessary daily activity that brings enlightenment and provides us with the energy we need to get through each day.
You couldn’t use your laptop or cellphone without charging it. How much more do you need to be charged with Gods energy of light and love each day to manage the constant needs of every day life?
The purpose of this blog is to realize that the stories in the brain are impulses from Spirit to help us heal, if we are willing to take the time to understand our own pain. Most of us want to avoid it. But, if you are tired of reliving your stories over and over again, try learning to become the observer of your mind. Restore and Renew Your Mind. Change the Conspiracy in Your Own Mind.
GIVE IT A TRY.
With 31 years of experience and a new, great office in beautiful Fort Lauderdale, Hypnosis on Las Olas creates a clear path to health and prosperity for many people in South Florida. I will help put you on the road to peace of mind and keep you there, so that you may rewrite your prosperous story daily and learn the True Meaning of Healing: “Your New Story, Your New Life.”
When Healing Flows like Living Water through your being, you’ll notice you feel led and connected, sleep better, your mind stays affixed on positive things, and you’ll even want to cook better, healthier food to protect your body. Are you looking for help with anxiety or are you bored at home.
Try this yoga practice below on YouTube I made just for this purpose or give me a call for a 10 minute consultation. I’d love to work through your stress at this time with you.
The process is so simple, it doesn’t make sense that it could result in such a vast change in mind. You could do some seated yoga. I actually made 3 different yoga videos on YouTube you could go to now and enjoy how great you’ll feel if you spend just a little time getting your body free of stress. But, I can’t do it for you. This article about it can make you do it. You must be a self-started at home, as well as work. Set your mind to a clear schedule of things to do. This would be a brilliant time to learn a new language or clean out the closets.
DON’T FORGET ABOUT PEACE OF MIND
We give away our peace of mind every time we react emotionally to inevitable change. Peace is yours to keep, not give away. So, if you are not experiencing peace, it’s up to you to share why you are anxious with yourself by carrying on a self dialogue. Yes, that’s right. Question yourself. Work it out together with all the parts of your mind (the good, bad, and the ugly). These are the times when we will be closest to our loved ones and also have a great deal of alone time. Use it to your spiritual and physical advantage.
Some friendly reminders about Peace:
- You are made in the image and by the grace of Peace.
- Peace doesn’t comprehend pandemonium.
- Peace of mind is gentle.
- Peace does not judge you or others.
- Peace promotes calm and love.

Narcissistic abuse is a form of emotional and psychological abuse. It is primarily inflicted by individuals who have either narcissistic personality disorder (NPD, which is characterized by a lack of empathy), or antisocial personality disorder (ASPD, also known as sociopaths or psychopaths), and is associated with the absence of a conscience. The Physiology of Hypnotherapy:
By going into a subconscious, light sleep or trance, a hypnotists helps find the pathways connecting your outside stimulus to your negative thoughts (food, smoking, anxiety). The work begins in the frontal cortex of your brain!
Disconnect the root cause (stress, relationship problems, no quality ME time) at the foot of the pathway (the place where our response to triggers happens) and build a healthy, new pathway to positive outcomes in your life—a new story for tomorrow.
