One of my favorite success stories happened when a mother and daughter showed up at my office looking to relieve anxiety in their lives. Each had a different reason for being there; neither of which was about their own connection and time together. In fact, they considered themselves best friends. Yet, as their stories unfolded I noticed that their lives were more like shields from their worlds than friendships.

To get to their Power, they had to activate the Observer Portion of the brain. Explaining one step further, this is NOT the part of the mind that deducts and figures out life. It is, however, the part of the brain that creates. The more time you spend in this creative part of the brain, you will:

  • judge yourself less frequently
  • be less reactive; and 
  • feel more responsible for your state of mind.

Furthermore, for mother and daughter, peace did always prevail.
