You can certainly understand how the smallest pebble dropped into still water will cause a ripple, moving from the center and outward. If you can believe in this Law of Cause and Effect, could you also believe that this principal affects your Mind?
A Ripple Moving Outward
Stuck in a loop of endless mind chatter is where we often live without realizing it. Most of us are confined to a pattern of protecting ourselves from the inevitable hurt of listening to these old stories in our mind.
Worse yet, believing them.
Generally, we still know that whatever problem or relationship we may be dealing with in our mind will cause us pain if the story continues. This fear grips us so hard that we enter into “Fight or Flight” mode.
Adrenaline courses through our veins. We fight the thought in the same way as if e saw a grizzly bear in the wild. Humans were created to have this fight or flight mode, because before the last 200 years, most humans spent more time in the wild and being confronted by physical danger. Now, sitting behind our computers or driving in the car, the biggest danger we face is a powerful thought looking to ruin your beautiful day.
However, what if I were to tell you that the consequence of moving into “Fight or Flight” because of a thought, causes blocked in your mind.
Have you ever heard an energy healer speak about your chakras are blocked? This is exactly what that practitioners refers to.
What would happen if we sat still with the initial thought that caused the ripple and simply observe where it leads us? What would happen if e didn’t judge those paralyzing thoughts and became an objective observer of them, instead?

My Story about A Ripple from the Center and Outward
As a Practitioner of Hypnotherapy
Lately, my quiet morning practice has been letting the messages, relationships, and work experiences from my past—rise to the surface. Instead of protecting myself from the trauma that once sparked a barrage of negativity there, I simply watch it. I observe the ripple as if I were the therapist listening to a client’s story. I have no judgement, just compassion.
In the past, I had been diligent about listening to the voices in my brain, carefully managing which thoughts I wanted to keep and which I wanted to release. I noticed, however, that as I live my life, I have a constant story about my life—almost a narration of the my life—simultaneously happening. Some of the narrative is false, some is true.
Now, however, when I come to a negative narrative, I choose a new path. I observe. I feel the emotion it brings up. I let the energy go where it needs to heal.
Myriads of stories (ripples) start from a small plunk, not a k-r-r-pow from a boulder or landslide.
For instance, I’m driving down the street. I tool past a girl who looks exactly like a friend who was my bestie for years. After recognizing the woman is not my old friend, I begin to think about this woman. The stories start with simplistic memories. Inevitably, though, as the ripple goes out farther and farther into my experiential mind, I encounter the hurt and pain I had for a year, because she wouldn’t answer my calls and abandoned a 7-year friendship without a word or even an argument.
The purpose of this blog is to realize that the stories in the brain are impulses from Spirit to help us heal, if we are willing to take the time to understand our own pain. Most of us want to avoid it. But, if you are tired of reliving your stories over and over again, try learning to become the observer of your mind.

This article about it can make you do it. You must be a self-started at home, as well as work. Set your mind to a clear schedule of things to do. This would be a brilliant time to learn a new language or clean out the closets.

We give away our peace of mind every time we react emotionally to inevitable change. Peace is yours to keep, not give away. So, if you are not experiencing peace, it’s up to you to share why you are anxious with yourself by carrying on a self dialogue. Yes, that’s right. Question yourself. Work it out together with all the parts of your mind (the good, bad, and the ugly). These are the times when we will be closest to our loved ones and also have a great deal of alone time. Use it to your spiritual and physical advantage.

- You are made in the image and by the grace of Peace.
- Peace doesn’t comprehend pandemonium.
- Peace of mind is gentle.
- Peace does not judge you or others.
- Peace promotes calm and love.
Peace Helps You Keep Your Retrospect in Check
