To develop a Fortress of Solitude (like the Superman movies), each day, you must find a way to get alone as Jesus did in the desert. Getting by yourself, though it may frighten you beyond belief, is the best way to understand yourself, your thoughts and begin to correct the misinformation you’ve been fed over the years.
I believe that at birth, our minds are like a freshly programmed computer with just enough information to get you started. Soon, parents, pastors, teachers, siblings, friends, and relatives start inputting data into a child’s memory bank. The child has no choices in this matter until he becomes old enough to realize he doesn’t have to believe everything he or she is told.
So, how much of your past input is still left in your brain? Did you know that you have a Trash Can icon in your life, just like your computer?
When you begin to observe data in your mind (constant tapes or films of old patterns recurring over and over again), this is a sign that you’ve been fed some bullshit. It’s time to take back your life and reprogram your mind and, ultimately, your life.
